Audacious bid for talented youngster

The Kashima board yesterday confirmed that they had indeed received a substantial offer for young striking sensation Janis Bitans. The offer from the unamed club was thought to be north of 30m with a player included. Manager Dave McMahon commented that of course all players have a price but the club were not in a position where selling was necessary and obviously we want to keep hold of our star players. Janis Bitans refused to comment on speculation and just wanted to focus on the next game.
