Celtic Sale to fund Strasbourg Star?

By Kevin Beck - Friday, April 17, 2020 - 3:01:06 PM

Celtic have just this past week agreed to sell four players for over £30m. Today, The Hoops manager, Kevin Beck, said he was open to offers for young Paraguayan goalkeeping sensation, Luis Pérez.

All this activity at Celtic Park comes just as news broke that Strasbourg's prized asset, Talivaldis Namatevs, may be available from the Premier League strugglers.

Add to the fact that loan ace and club legend, Wendolin Hieck, retires at the end of the season, and Ibrahim Yaman's future was thrown in to doubt after recently being loaned out to Kashima Antlers, could it be that Celtic are about to cause shock waves in the transfer market?

Beck had this to say.

"About this time every year, I start to take stock and make plans for the new season so we can be up and running as early as possible.

We've let some excellent players leave, who were not getting the game time they deserve, and it has helped boost the funds which will allow me to refresh the squad a little over the coming weeks and months.

It isn't fair to talk about individual players still contracted to their clubs, but in terms of our activity, we are looking at all options. Celtic is a big club these days, we look at the top players to help keep us improving, and if we can do a deal for players we like then of course we'll do that."

So, the Celtic boss is ruling nothing out. Stay tuned for updates as and when they happen!
