Privacy Policy

In accordance with GDPR Regulation no. 2016/679 — Last updated: 17 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how In The Net Soccer ("ITN Soccer", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our service. Please read it carefully.

What personal information do we collect?

We collect personal data in the following circumstances:

  • when you register for and use our website;
  • when you contact us by email or through in-game messaging;
  • when you log in to your account.

The data we process is limited to:

  • Account data — your email address, age, and login credentials, used to provide access to the game, respond to enquiries, and comply with legal obligations. This data is permanently deleted when you close your account.
  • Account settings — optional preferences, also permanently deleted upon account closure.
  • Technical data — IP address, login timestamps, and browser information, stored automatically for account management, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Active login records are automatically deleted after 60 days. All remaining technical data associated with your account is permanently deleted upon account closure.

How do we use your information?

  • To provide and personalise your gaming experience;
  • To send periodic emails regarding game events and updates.

Confidentiality

Your private communications with us are treated with confidentiality. Any disciplinary matters will not be disclosed to other users, even if they are directly involved. Only staff operating the game will have access to this information.

Please be aware that content you post publicly — such as forum posts — may be viewed or retained by others. Upon account closure, your authorship of forum posts is replaced with [Account removed], but the post content itself is retained to preserve the readability and continuity of public discussions. Private messages are handled similarly: message content is retained for the recipient's reference, but your identity as sender or recipient is anonymised.

How do we protect your information?

The website is hosted on secure servers with regular security scans, redundant backups, and firewall protection. We ask that you keep your password complex and confidential — this is your responsibility. You can update your password at any time from your account settings.

Please note that no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • save your preferences for future visits;
  • authenticate your session.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent some features — such as automatic login — from functioning correctly.

Third-party disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties, except where required to operate the service (e.g. hosting providers), who are bound to keep your data confidential. We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ITN Soccer or its users.

Data security and breaches

We have procedures in place to address suspected data security breaches. Where legally required, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities. In the event of a breach, we will notify you:

  • by email within 2 business days;
  • by in-game notification within 2 business days.

Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access — view a summary of all personal data we hold about you, available directly from your account profile page;
  • Correction — request that inaccurate or incomplete data is corrected;
  • Erasure — close your account and have your personal data removed. This is available directly from your account profile page. See below for details of what is deleted and what is anonymised;
  • Portability — request the transfer of your personal data to another party;
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw your consent for data processing at any time by closing your account.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below, or use the self-service tools available in your account. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Account closure and data deletion

You may request account closure at any time from your account profile page. Before closing your account, you must first resign from any club or national team you are currently managing, so that those positions can be reassigned to other managers.

Once submitted, your account will enter a 30-day pending deletion period. During this time you may cancel the request by logging in. After 30 days, the following actions are taken permanently:

  • Permanently deleted: email address, password, login history, and all account settings.
  • Anonymised (not deleted): forum posts and private messages — your identity is replaced with [Account removed], but the content is retained to preserve public discussions and message history for other participants.
  • Unchanged: all game records that reference your former teams (match results, league tables, transfer history, player statistics) — these are team-based records that form part of the shared game history and do not constitute personal data.

Email communications (CAN-SPAM)

We collect your email address solely to respond to enquiries and send game-related updates. We will never use false or misleading subject lines or email addresses. To unsubscribe, contact us at the email below and we will promptly remove you from all correspondence.

International users

If you access ITN Soccer from outside the European Economic Area (EEA), be aware that data protection laws in your country may differ from those in the EEA. We have taken appropriate safeguards to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with this Policy.

Only your in-game alias is visible to other users. If you do not want your name visible, please choose an alias that does not reveal your identity.
